rambles/theory? | the ways i may have forever changed the mimic nation
JUST PONDERING... there's many such cases where i believe i've indirectly changed the standard mimichead's mentality with my looming and frightening presence....
this is a bit of a "satire and meta theory", but very much based on actual things that've happened! <:D
absolutely not EVERYTHING that've happened, since I do have some very influential pieces of media, but those probably just count as memes.
1. Merchandise
YEP! We know that merch companies with FNaF's license are no strangers to referencing off of fanart, and when hundreds of it are by one person, it's bound to happen that my works have been referenced.
This is mainly about YouTooz, as their Mimic colourway is suspiciously close to my toon Mimic, regarding the hand/finger colour pattern whereas canonically he has mostly solid-coloured hands...
Absolutely not complaining, though! I don't mind that my artwork may have been used while figuring out WHAT The Mimic even looks like. Frankly? I'm honoured.
2. Likeability?
Current estimated count of Mimic haters/dislikers converted into Mimic lovers/tolerants as of writing this: 8
This happens strangely often????? People online come up to me and go "I used to hate The Mimic, but your [_] made me appreciate him more!", or the occasional thirst comment I get. I guess my interpretation of him is particularly loveable! I agree... 10/10 phenomenon I love growing the mimic nation
3. Geese. In Secret of the Mimic.
COME ON MAN.
Officially, I believe they're referred to as "ducks" in the files, but this can be easily debunked. Domestic ducks are not capable of flight, as opposed to their goose counterparts. The prop geese are often depicted hanging from the ceiling in flight! Physiology always beats mere naming when it comes to classifying existing genera.
I've yet to get a response back from Steelwool regarding that design choice, but whoever decided on this highly specific choice in bird, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!! The fact that a white-plumed anatid was included in the first place is enough to forever cement my likeness in fnaf canon >:]
4. A certain kind of headcanon I refuse to elaborate on
...the censors will come kill me if i say it.... but like all mimicsimps i've seen agree with me on this unknowingly that it was due to one of my secret operations in 2023. those who know
Anyhoo, I'm thankful for this silly, wacky life that Mimic has allowed me to live. This is probably the most I have ever been, and I'll die by the machine! Engrave this bot on my gravestone when I die. (but in a way that I can still go to the skeleton war)
